Visit to Reed Smith, an international law firm in Central

 

Dear Parents & Students,

 

This year we have arranged for our students to pay a visit to a city law firm during its actual working hours. Reed Smith is a reputable international law firm which has established a practice in Hong Kong for nearly four decades, and is one of the largest and most experienced law firms in Hong Kong with more than 100 practicing lawyers. The firm has a wide range of practice including corporate, commercial litigation, intellectual property and employment law. The firm has offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore and Hong Kong.

 

During this visit, our students will have the opportunity to take a guided tour of the 3 storied premises occupied by Reed Smith in a prime Central office building, and take an intimate look at the daily operation of one of the busiest law firms in Hong Kong gaining a better understanding of the day-to-day action of this profession.

 

Details of the Visit are as follows:

Date:                      15 May 2017 (Monday)

Time:                      9:00am to 11:30am

Venue:                    Reed Smith Richards Butler (Hong Kong office)

                               20th Floor, Alexandra House

                               18 Charter Road, Central

Rundown:                           

1)    Quick office tour : The students will be divided into 3 groups, and each be given a quick walk on each of the floors of the office. 

2)     Brief talk on the legal profession / the firm

3)     Sharing by a solicitor on the importance of communication skills and life as a lawyer etc.

4)     Q&A.

 

Dress Code:                            School uniform

Fee:                                           Free

Max. No. of Participants:      21 students, with priority given to senior form students at F.4 - F.6 (by ballot if over-subscribed)

Assembly Time & Place:       8:30am at Central MTR Station Exit H

Dismissal Time & Place:       Around 12:00pm at Central MTR Station

 

CONGRATULATION to all successful applicants who are listed below and all those successful applicants  will also be notified by the PTA before the visit.
